Clinical evidence
While Alhagi species have demonstrated various pharmacological effects, including gastrointestinal, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties, clinical research is still needed to confirm their safety and efficacy for therapeutic use in humans. Some studies suggest that Alhagi species, including *A. camelorum*, may have potential in managing diabetes mellitus, though more research is needed.
