Dosage
Decoction: 20-50 ml; Flower powder: 1-2 grams; Leaf Powder ( Ixora parviflora var zeylanica ): 1–2 g daily; Flower Extract (Tincture) (Ixora parviflora var zeylanica ): 10–20 drops, 2–3 times daily

Preparation methods

- Tea/Infusion: 2 tsp dried petals steeped for 10 minutes; consume up to 3 cups daily.
- Topical Ointment: Extract combined with coconut oil (10% w/w) applied 1–2 times per day to inflamed areas.
- Oil Infusion: Flowers in coconut oil can be applied topically for rashes or arthritic pain as needed.
Contraindications
- General Safety: Ixora parviflora var zeylanica is generally well-tolerated, but some individuals may experience mild gastrointestinal upset. Topical application can rarely cause contact dermatitis, so a patch test is recommended.
- Low Blood Pressure: Avoid high doses if you have low blood pressure, as it exhibits mild vasodilatory effects.
- Bleeding Disorders/Anticoagulants: Use with caution if you have bleeding disorders or are on anticoagulant medications, as it may potentiate blood thinning.
