Masha (Masha (Mashaparni, Rajamasha — black gram))
Masha is a classical Shimbi dhanya (legume) dravya. Botanically Vigna mungo (L.) Hepper (Fabaceae). Distinct from Mudga (Vigna radiata, slug `harimantha`) and Masura (Lens culinaris). Used in yusha, sweda, and classical taila/ghrita preparations.
