Clinical evidence
There is a significant lack of robust human clinical trials for Laportea aestuans. Most available scientific evidence comes from in vitro and in vivo (animal) studies, which suggest potential anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antioxidant, and antimicrobial activities. However, these pre-clinical findings cannot be directly extrapolated to human efficacy or safety, and its use in modern medicine is currently unsupported by clinical evidence.
