Clinical evidence
Preclinical studies (in vitro and animal models) indicate that Cochlospermum religiosum extracts and gum possess anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antioxidant, wound healing, and antidiabetic properties. No high-quality human clinical trials (RCTs or meta-analyses) have been reported to date for the gum of Cochlospermum religiosum to confirm these effects in humans.
