Clinical evidence
Several systematic reviews and meta-analyses of numerous randomized clinical trials (RCTs) show that Garcinia cambogia, when compared to placebo, produces a statistically significant but small and often clinically insignificant amount of weight loss (typically an average of 1-2 kg more than placebo over several weeks to months). This modest effect is often not enough to be considered a meaningful impact on health outcomes. Some studies show no significant difference from placebo, and the overall quality of evidence is mixed.
